Excerpt:
i was standing on the train platform today
looking at the dirty station
i took a good look
for the last time
walls blackened by pollution
rusty signs
trains going in and out
the air slowly darkening
people arriving
waiting for their train
waiting for god knows what
for the last time
i went to the gas station for fuel
the man in the gas station had no idea
he smiled in a friendly way
seemed to recognize me
even gave me ten cents reduction
for the last time
i went to the supermarket
to buy candles
razors
and chocolate cookies
a whole box of greasy tasty chocolate cookies – 200 grams
i don't have to think about my diet anymore right
the woman at the cashier
says
thank you have a nice day
like a tape playing over and over again
for the last time
i went out to eat a thai curry
in the best restaurant of the city
it was delicious
for the last time
i went to the bar with my friends
we had an outrageous night
we had the greatest time
everybody laughed danced drunk sang
nobody knew
they would never see me again
